A Journal of Knitting
Memories
[from inside the book...]
What to Write in your Journal?
Most
people find knitting to be quite relaxing; although, this may not be
true when you are first learning to knit. Record your thoughts as you
work on your knitting projects so you can look back later to see how far
you’ve
progressed. By making notes about what is working and what
isn’t,
you’ll reinforce good knitting habits and one day
you’ll look at past
projects recorded in your journal and laugh about early misfortunes.
You
might want to record:
- where you are when you are
knitting and anything special about the place
- your likes or dislikes of the
pattern and any comments about skill level
- what you are knitting and who
you are knitting it for
- funny or interesting tidbits or
quotes you read or hear about knitting
- anything you changed in the
pattern
- and any stray thoughts or ideas
that come to mind as you knit.
Always finish a row before leaving your work; the stitches are liable to
stretch if you don't.
